Waste Reduction
Purpose
This module focuses on the topical issue of reducing industrial and consumer waste. This module should be used in conjunction with the other three waste management modules, which all include information that has a bearing on the topic of waste reduction.
Benefits
Waste reduction is of importance for land use planning because if waste is reduced, planning (to meet the land use requirements of provision for treatment and disposal of waste) will need to take into account a lesser quantity of it.
