Waste Policy
Purpose
This module sets out the waste policies of the Governments in England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland that land use plans and decisions on planning applications must accord with. The policies include targets, principles and infrastructure requirements. Differences of emphasis and approach are illustrated relating to Energy from Waste and the application of the concepts of the Waste Hierarchy and Best Practicable Environmental Option.
