The Railway Network in Great Britain
Purpose
This module focuses on the national railway network – a key element in public transport provision. It does not attempt to cover the various urban rail systems in London and other major cities, which include the London Underground, the small metro lines in Glasgow and Tyne & Wear, and the handful of light rail networks.

Users will gain an understanding of the administrative, management and economic factors which guide the development of the national railway network and the provision of railway services.
