Employment Land Study
Purpose
This module outlines a generic approach to undertaking an Employment Land Review (ELR) while highlighting a range of issues in their preparation and use.
Benefits
ELRs constitute key evidence for development plans. Not only do they allow local planning authorities to predict and provide for employment land, they also provide support for authorities to resist employment land from being used for housing development.
Audience
Urban and regional planners and all those wishing to build and assess their knowledge of the topic.
Learning method
A knowledge builder focusing on how to undertake an ELR. Additionally a range of further reading and appropriate websites is provided for those who wish to become expert in the subject. Includes voluntary self-assessment for recording continuous professional development (CPD).
